Atlanta, Ga., June 1, 2026: Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology development and support for libraries, is pleased to announce Fulfillment 12. This latest version of the open source interlibrary loan software (ILL) was made possible through the sponsorship of Bibliomation, Inc.
Fulfillment 12 introduces redesigned user interfaces and comprehensive accessibility enhancements engineered to create a more equitable user experience. Key updates include improved keyboard controls, additional support for assistive devices, and responsive screen resizing that delivers a seamless, mobile-friendly environment. The Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation at the Georgia Institute of Technology conducted accessibility testing.
“Our development team is incredibly proud to bring these new features to such a vital open source project, ensuring that Fulfillment is intuitive, efficient, and accessible to staff and patrons alike,” said Andrea Buntz Neiman, Equinox’s Project Manager for Software Development.
Equinox partners with Bibliomation, Inc. and the Connecticut State Library to power the state’s requestIT CT interlibrary loan service. Utilizing the Fulfillment platform during the last fiscal year, Connecticut libraries successfully facilitated the sharing of over 22,000 resources.
