Equinox Welcomes Barton County Library to the Missouri Evergreen Consortium

Atlanta, Ga., February 20, 2023: Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology development and support for libraries, is pleased to welcome Barton County Library (MO) to the Missouri Evergreen Consortium with their adoption of Evergreen ILS, an award winning library solution used by more than 1,800 libraries worldwide.

Barton County Library is located in the southwest corner of Missouri and is the only library system in its county, supporting 9,812 patrons and providing access to 39,160 bibliographic records. As part of their migration, Equinox provided implementation and data services including project management, data extraction, deduplication, and record conversion. Training was provided by Equinox’s expert staff.

“Our migration to Missouri Evergreen was incredibly smooth and easy thanks to the support and direction provided by the whole Equinox team,” said Carol Darrow, Director of the Barton County Library. “Equinox’s staff were all extremely helpful throughout the migration process. They were quick to respond to our questions and very patient with us when we had to make numerous decisions. The training we received also helped library staff feel confident about using the new system. We are thrilled to be a part of the Missouri Evergreen Consortium.”
