Atlanta, Ga., April 27, 2026: Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology development and support for libraries, is pleased to announce that the Sedalia Public Library has joined the Evergreen and Aspen Discovery communities as part of their membership with the Missouri Evergreen Consortium.
The Sedalia Public Library was founded in 1895 and received a grant from Andrew Carnegie for a library building in 1899. Still located in their Carnegie location, Sedalia Public Library is dedicated to bringing individuals, information and ideas together.
“Equinox brings a strong track record of operational excellence and strategic growth,” said Jamie Sparks, Director of Sedalia Public Library. “Evergreen and Aspen Discovery will enhance our user experience, expand access to resources, and streamline services. Together, these advancements will strengthen community engagement and modernize how our patrons interact with library offerings.”
