Atlanta, Ga., October 17, 2023 : Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology development and support for libraries, and pioneer of library data analytics, collectionHQ, have today announced their new partnership that will help public libraries to enhance collections with efficient and cost effective solutions.

The partnership will be of particular benefit to libraries that use the Evergreen and Koha Integrated Library Systems (ILSs) supported by Equinox and subscribe to collectionHQ to manage their collection. collectionHQ has been crunching ILS data into easy-to-use action plans since its inception in 2008, and today continues to guide more than 500 of the leading public libraries globally on where to focus spending and how to improve collections to meet community needs.

Together, collectionHQ and Equinox will focus on providing solutions that help library professionals to streamline everyday tasks and focus on adding value for patrons. Both organizations also acknowledge the important role libraries play in representing the voices and backgrounds of all communities and collectionHQ’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Analysis tool will therefore be central to this new partnership.

Amandeep Kochar, President and CEO of Baker & Taylor, collectionHQ’s parent company, shared his thoughts on the partnership:

“At collectionHQ, we are committed to continuously evolving our solutions to provide the best customer experience. By partnering with Equinox, we look forward to identifying new ways to optimize our data analytics platforms that will enable our library customers to manage and develop their collections more seamlessly.”

Lisa Carlucci, Executive Director of Equinox Open Library Initiative and Equinox Library Services Canada, commented:

“Equinox is excited to move forward in partnership with collectionHQ to provide enhanced services to libraries seeking efficiencies in collection management workflows along with collectionHQ’s rich data analysis tools. This new partnership provides added value to existing services and expands access, training, and support for these tools to libraries of all sizes using Evergreen ILS and Koha ILS.”
