Equinox Announces Fulfillment 11 with Koha ILS Connector

Atlanta, Ga., March 23, 2023: Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology services for libraries, is pleased to announce the release of Fulfillment 11, the latest release of the open source interlibrary loan software. The release introduces a new connector for Koha ILS, bringing Fulfillment’s powerful resource sharing automation capabilities to libraries utilizing Koha ILS.

“We are delighted to bring Fulfillment 11 to the library community,” said Andrea Buntz Neiman, Project Manager for Software Development. “The new Koha ILS connector allows for full integration, automation, and real time status updates for Koha libraries who use Fulfillment. All of this, plus Fulfillment 11 harnesses the evolution of its sibling Evergreen’s latest versions 3.6 to 3.10. This gives Fulfillment access to features developed along the way such as the new Simple Reporter and the ‘Did You Mean?’ bibliographic based search suggestions. It’s a very exciting update.”

Launched in 2011, Fulfillment facilitates sharing between separate library organizations, uniting collections and information in a combined union catalog. Fulfillment 11 also includes security patches, bug fixes, essential efficiency updates, and other features such as supporting OAI-PMH harvesting of Fulfillment records. Fulfillment can be accessed on GitHub here: https://github.com/EquinoxOpenLibraryInitiative/fulfillment/tree/release/FF-11.0.

Implementing Fulfillment with Equinox includes support from experienced librarians and developers and a transparent, open software development process, including custom training resources and connector options for Fulfillment.
